1. Tbilisi
Eclectic, diverse city, with hanging balconies and Persian-style sulfurous baths, modern futurist glass buildings. The city located in Kura River gorge is surrounded with mountains. Regarding its geographical location, Tbilisi was a multicultural center of old Silk Road. Ethnical diversity and eclectic architecture is reflected in modern Tbilisi as well.
In Abanotubani the bathes are arranged according to the Persian traditions though thermal waters there are natural. After leaving Abanotubani, you will see Georgian, Armenian churches, Mosque and Synagogues, as well as ruins of Zoroastrian church.
2. Ushguli. A highest settlement in the Europe
People live in this village located in Caucasian mountains, at 2200 m altitude all year round. Ushguli is located at the foot of Shkhara, the highest peak of Georgia, it is known for its defense towers connecting each of the houses. Due to hard road travel to Ushguli is not an easy one. The village has maintained its original form and there is a sense that here the time has stopped. Ushguli is Unesco World Heritage Monument.
